    Very informative. Did you do these exercises to get stronger? How long did it take you to see results?

    Sorry to point it out, but if I don't say anything, someone might get hurt practicing your way... Your way of generating power is actually very wrong...The upper arm should never move independently, your body should rotate first and carry your upper arm(elbow) to the point of forearm pronation, then your kinetic chain will be complete from feet to racket. (With your method the power from feet is stopped when you move your elbow forward) If you see your elbow when you swing, it can easily harm your shoulder especially when amateurs want to hit the cock with force. No professional players generating power using your way, you can easily check any games and watch them with slow motion. If you can change your way to the correct method, I believe with your experience, your power can be much stronger.

      Hey Clyde, Thanks for the comment. You are completely right - i hope you know that i am overdoing the movement here - holding way more loose than you are supposed to. I create the snappy effect by overdoing this. If you hold loose (overdo) and quickly pull your elbow forward - you will see that the racket goes to the side. And if you are able to do that - you are on your way to be more relaxed and create powerful shots. I tried to break it down. But you are completely right, that independently this video might cause harm.

    In some videos, I have seen that the elbow should go forward literally touching your ears....

    • @ShuttleLife
      @ShuttleLife День назад

      If it touch your ears you cause unnesecary friction that might slow the movement down. In slowmotion and for practise purpose you can simulate that it touches your ear.

    Nice tutorial. My feedback would be to have got more slow motion clips so we can see you applying the finger and "snap" movement. It's not clear for someone learning this when exactly you squeeze down on your grip for that. Also you showed the elbow going up and to your right but when you actually did the shot you hit the shot quite far out to the side. This is a bit confusing. Maybe you were exaggerating for the viewer to see clearly like you did with the racket bsck and out..?

      You should check my newest video. I would love to answer the questions. About the elbow, it's damaged, so i find it difficult to stretch it above me. I need to do some proper warm up - i just had 15 minutes in the hall before students so i wanted to explain this. I totally agree that I could do more slowmotion clips

    Det her er nok en af de mest brugbare videoer jeg har set om det her emne - tusind tak for det! Jeg synes teknikken er vanvittig svær, og jeg synes det er så svært at være præcis med det på banen, og derfor har jeg også en tendens til at holde for hårdt på ketcheren. Er det bare at blive ved med at øve? Den med at bruge bolden var et godt tip til grebet - det giver vel også en indikation af hvor tyk ens greb skal være ift. hænders størrelse? Tak igen for videoen!

    • @ShuttleLife
      @ShuttleLife 2 дня назад

      Mange tak 😊 Jeg prøver at lave videoer der er til at forstå og give et par tips til at være opmærksom på det. Det tager lang tid at øve. Et par gode ting, som kan fremskynde processen lidt 1) Brug flere svip serve 2) Flat spil, med grebskifte og løs på 3) Løft fra nettet Lav flere øvelser med de elementer og fokuser på teknikken. Det vil være godt 😊👍 Bolden ift greb kan virke som en god indikation. Dog vil bolden i mange tilfælde være for stor - der plejer jeg st bruge forskellige størrelser penne. 1) Blyant/Kuglepen 2) Tusser 3) Sprittusser

    Can you explain why we don’t see pro players having such loose fingers when they smash?

    • @ShuttleLife
      @ShuttleLife 3 дня назад

      When Smashing the swing is much bigger. If you hold this loose while Smashing you will simply drop the rotate or lose it. You will have to keep it tighter so it won't fall out of you hand

    good warnings. the risk from footwork approaching the net with the toe in from the line of the leg is not just rolling the ankle but maybe more importantly repeated lateral stress on the knee, effectively using your ACL as a brake, rather than transferring braking power to your dominant quads, which can handle it better and are regenerative on your last point re lunging at the net, it's often said to be safe to bring the knee over the ankle but not farther. in my experience this is neither safe nor effective. there is simply too much leverage at that point from the floor to your knee, and ya, the situation gets rapidly worse as your knee passes your ankle. if you want to preserve your knees, make a habit out of lunging with the knee significantly trailing the ankle. it is also faster and gives you more options on the court if you develop the leg and core strength to support deeper extension into the net and the ability to recover explosively from deep extension-- there are several techniques available for that

    • @joonaskuusisto2767
      @joonaskuusisto2767 5 дней назад

      This is a very good point. It’s no surprise that players with longevity like LCW and LD always did as you suggested. Some youngsters and athletic freaks can get away with knee passing the ankle constantly but biomechanically it exerts such a stretch and it’s not a strong position. Ideally you center of mass should always be behind your feet.
